What qualification must I hold to be accepted on this course?


There is no formal qualification for you taking any of the certificate courses, nevertheless prospective student should be able to communicate in English Language. Student with no background of English should speak to the course Director, where special arrangement will be made.

5 GCSE/GCE grade C and above or equivalent is required for the diploma programmes, matured applicant with no formal qualification but with at least 3 year work experience are also welcome.

I failed one module, can I move to the next one?

Yes you can, except for the Virgin Atlantic module where you have to pass the level one before sitting the exam for level two.

How many times am I allowed a re-sit?

You are allowed two re-sits after which, if you still do not pass, then you have to take the whole of the module again. Student whose attendance is 100% and punctual will not re-sit any exam. This is because a lot can be missed in one day.

How soon will I know my result?

3 to 4 weeks.

What certificate will I get?

All modules of the diploma come with a certificate (including VA1 & 2 awarded by virgin) and one single diploma certificate stating the grade you have achieved. Students who wish to gain IATA qualification on the Global Distributed Systems (GDS) will have to sit two examination one open book and one close book.

The advance diploma comes with one full award certificate stating all the modules taking with their grades. Students who need to show their progress to the Home Office will be given a statement of result if they have not yet passed all the modules.

What can I do on completion of the diploma?

Get employment or further your education by completing the Advance Diploma and then if you wish you can study for a degree in Management, Marketing, Operational Research, Business/Commerce, Hotel and Hospitality. E.T.C please speak to the course director at the college for more advice.

Additional Information

Start dates
Courses run throughout the year, for Diploma and Advance Diploma please check with the college, usually enrolment are during January, May and September. Classes are between the hours, 10am to 4pm (Monday to Saturday) and 6pm to 9pm (Monday to Friday). Two weeks before your start date you will be given the time table.

International student
All overseas students must comply with the Home Office regulations, most especially attendance and passing of exams. Should you require any assistance please do not hesitate to contact the college!

Examinations
All modules carry a Pass mark of 85% - 89%, Merit 90% - 94% and Distinction 95% - 100%
Some modules consist of group assignment, design, project, and presentation which count towards your final exam.

Unsuccessful student will have to re-sit any assignment, project and final exam’s failed. There is a charge for re-sitting any exam, please check with the college.
