Level One
Introduces you to the world of the travel industry. By using extracts from selected industry publication, student will be taught how to price and document various itineraries according to the customer’s requirements.
On completion of this module, Students will be able to: Define IATA geographical areas and Global Routing Indicators Interpret various airline coding Identify differing fare types and their characteristics Select the lowest applicable fare for point to point itineraries with reference to fare rules Calculate fare applying the fundamental principles of the mileage system Construct fare using NUCs and the IATA rates of exchange for a range of currencies Interpret all ticket types Complete MPDs/MCOs for airport ticket issue
Level Two
Has been designed to give you a thorough understanding of fare construction principles. By building on the level one foundation of fares knowledge and through step by step stages with new principles of fare construction you are able to calculate more complex fares. On completion of this module, Students will be able to: Construct fares for multi-sector journeys, applying the mileage system, higher intermediate point and minimum fare checks Apply add-ons to construct unpublished fares Calculate fares for journeys with surface sectors Calculate fares for journeys involving side trips Construct special fare for multi-sector journeys with and without surface sectors Assess fares for journeys involving different classes of travel Construct special fare for multi-sector journeys with and without surface sectors Complete automated and manual fare calculation areas The Galileo Computerised Reservation System
Galileo is one of the computerised reservation systems. This course will give you the skills needed when applying for any job involving Air Travel, together with IATA – recognized qualification through Viasinc You will encounter a quiz every four to six lessons. These quizzes provide not only a means of testing your comprehension of the material, but provide additional hands-on practice in making GDS entries and receiving responses. Even in a quiz, the VIASINC experience feels like a real GDS
The Diploma in Airline, Travel & Tourism aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international tourism industry, together with a working knowledge of the basic principals which underpin the industry. This Diploma has been devised on the basis that student will attend a course of study of not less than 500 hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure.
Travel Geography
There are many reasons why people travel, from doing business to visiting friends and family. They travel both within there country and to a wide range of destinations in Europe, Africa, America and the rest of the world. People working in the travel industry are therefore involved in organizing travel to all areas of the world, and will be required to provide information and give advice on a range of travel destination.
Travel geography is an essential foundation, it is important to have a good knowledge of continents, countries, seas and oceans worldwide, along with the location of capitals, cities resorts and visitor attractions worldwide.

Assessment: Production of country profile, Production of report and One final examination.
Travel Agency Practice
This module introduces the role and the fundamental principle of the travel agent to students intending to work in a travel agency. It illustrates how to use different travel brochures, identify and select appropriate resorts, cruises, car hire and insurance. Further more it will enable you to use the right methods for processing travel reservations, identify client needs and how to deal with customer complaints Travel agency practice is an essential module, it is important to have a good knowledge and understand basic theory.

Tour Operator
This module introduces the role and functions of the tour operator to students intending to work as a tour operator. To embark on this job successfully, a tour operation is an essential foundation. It is important to have a good knowledge and understand the role of the tour operator.

Introduction to Tour Operation, The package holiday, Tour Operating assignment, Categories of Tour Operators, Integration of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, Legal Obligations, Overseas Operations, Brochure Production and Marketing.
Assessment: Production of a tour operator’s resort and One final examination.
